Today, Nintendo announced that they have partnered with Universal Studios to bring Nintendo characters to life with attractions in a Theme Park. You all know I love theme parks, roller coaster and Nintendo so this is heaven for me!
KYOTO, Japan and ORLANDO, Florida (May 7, 2015) – Nintendo and Universal Parks & Resorts today announced plans to bring the world of Nintendo to life at Universal theme parks – creating spectacular, dedicated experiences based on Nintendo’s wildly popular games, characters and worlds.
The agreement brings two icons of entertainment together and represents a significant partnership for Nintendo as it expands the reach and popularity of its characters and intellectual property.
Universal theme parks offer incredibly popular, innovative themed family entertainment experiences based on compelling stories and characters – using powerful storytelling and innovative technology. Nintendo has created remarkable and imaginative worlds filled with captivating stories and beloved characters. Now, for the first time, those stories and characters will be brought to life in entirely new ways – only at Universal theme parks.
The immersive experiences will include major attractions at Universal’s theme parks and will feature Nintendo’s most famous characters and games. More details will be announced in the future, as the Nintendo and Universal creative teams work to create specific concepts.

My mind is going crazy with what they could do. Nintendo is one of the most unique game companies. It’s target audience is children and the family, and with a few acres of space imagine what Nintendo could do to fill it with wonder and whimsy?
Want to race a Mario Kart? Sure.
Want to go on an adventure? You got it.
Want to defeat bowser? Lets-a-go!
Want to visit a castle? Visit Peach!
Want to go catch ghosts? G-great!
You want to be the very best? Like no one ever was? Then go catch ’em all!
Want to go on a space adventure? Go ride it!
And a cool idea could be instead of just riding things, the rider could ‘play’ the ride and interact with it. Maybe battle Pokemon? Catch ghosts using the Poltergust 5000? Control a kart? The sky’s not the limit!
What do you think about NintendoLand? What games, characters, and locations should be in the park? Personally, I won’t be happy unless the people who sweep the streets and pick up trash are dressed in Chibi-Robo! costume
